Shortly before Christmas, we were able to visit the Gütersloh food bank and find out about the processes and background. Juliane Kuspiel and Jan Völlering (fetra Marketing) were on site in Gütersloh for this purpose. Of course, we did not show up empty-handed, but also brought along a fetra stacking trolley in addition to a donation of € 5,000. This makes the work of the volunteers, who have to transport heavy boxes from A to B, much easier, as the Gütersloh food bank has around 100-130 tons of food to distribute every month. There are over 4,600 registered needy people in the Gütersloh district alone. Ms. Prior-Dresemann, Managing Director of Tafel GT, was able to provide us with numerous insights. The Tafel GT is like a small logistics center, where we also discovered other fetra equipment such as shelf trolleys and table trolleys. All donations of goods and food are collected there, checked and distributed to the respective branches throughout the Gütersloh district, such as Borgholzhausen, Halle, Versmold and 48 others. This is important work that saves food and offers great support to those in need.
