The completion of the employee multi-storey car park makes it possible to build a logistics/storeroom building, in the context of a buildings enlargement in east direction, on the current parking lot afterwards.

Expansion of the administration
The two-storey administration building is extended by a third storey. Here is our “sales team” among themselves.fetra employs a total of 200 people at the Borgholzhausen location.

fetra continued to grow
Today there are over 18,000 m² of production and storage space available for the manufacture of the transport equipment. fetra employs 166 people at the Borgholzhausen location.

Opening of the fetra competence center
Completion of the conversion of the acquired neighboring property into a competence center and satellite warehouse. Extension by 1,730 m

Extensive modernization
Extensive modernization and expansion of the production and warehouse to around 10,500 m². 142 employees manufacture around 1,000 different hand-held transport devices.

Hinrich and Jochen Fechtel join the company

Moving into the new company
Relocation to the newly built factory at Borgholzhausen station. The company had quadrupled its production area and number of employees in a few years, to 4,400 m² and 76 employees.

The fetra brand is launched
The fetra modular system for transport devices is created. fetra products are shipped disassembled and can be easily assembled. Nevertheless, the plug connections are just as stable as if they were welded.

1960
Hermann Fechtel takes over the business
In 1960 Hermann Fechtel took over the business from his father. The mechanical engineer is converting production to tubular steel transport equipment.
1954
Heinrich Fechtel founds the company
Company founded by the trained actuary Heinrich Fechtel. Together with three employees, he produces wooden sack barrows in a 420 m² lease in Bielefeld.
